Dr. Miller performed a lap surgery and was fantastic, very little pain and almost no scarring. Living in Chicago we have lots of choices, but I after my experience with Dr. Miller, I would NEVER go anywhere else - EVER. First off he found what my issue was immediately after years of no one else being able to figure it out. Yes, we had to wait sometimes at our appointments, but he took his time, was so personable, explained everything patiently and kindly, and I never ever felt like he was rushing out the door. He performed a surgery for me which went excellent. I always felt like he cared and wanted us to be a part of the entire process, not just another number. His staff was so caring and nice, and most importantly of all - we now have a very healthy five month old boy!! "

They were too large for her to remove without cutting me open so she referred me to Dr. Miller because she believed he could remove them laparoscopically. I will always be grateful to her for that. I had no problem getting an appointment at the Schaumburg office it was about 2 weeks from they day I called. I had an ultrasound and met with Dr.Miller. I spent about 20 minutes with him. I explained my options, answered my questions and made a recommendation. I chose to go with a laproscopic myomectomy. I wasn't ready to give up my uterus. Lynn, the receptionist, ultrasound techs and the lady who draws blood could not have been kinder or more professional. Vicki, the nurse I spoke with on several occasions wasn't very helpful, but pleasant enough. Jen, the surgical liaison, is supposed to be there to answer all your questions about surgery and all that goes with it. She seemed very knowledgable but had very little patience for questions. I think she has been doing this for so long that she forgets, this is a new and scary experience for most people. Having said that, my experience with Dr Miller and the surgery could not have been better. If you're looking for someone to hold your hand, he's not your guy but if you want some one who can do the surgery flawlessly, he's the best. My surgery lasted over 3 hours and I had 9 fibroids removed. I had absolutely no pain - none. Didn't take a single painkiller. The nurse said I would definitely need them because of all that was done to me - but I didn't need a single one. Dr. Miller has quite the reputation and in my opinion it is well deserved. I was driving two days after surgery and almost back to normal in a week. Dr. Miller is a nice man, he came to talk to me before surgery and spoke with my family while I was in recovery. He's not going to sit by your bedside but honestly all I cared about was that he could do what he said he could do. That he would take good care of me. He told me I would be fine - he kept his word and I will take that from a surgeon any day over small talk. I would recommend Dr Miller to my mother, my sister or my best friend if they needed this type of surgery. When when I was at the hospital, all the nurses said I had the best doctor. That I had nothing to worry about because Dr. Miller is the best. The prospect of surgery was scary for me and I'm so relieved it's over and I am so grateful to Dr Miller."

string(2068) "I've seen Dr. M for endometriosis and adenomyosis + fibroids surgeries. I found Dr. Miller 10 years ago for my endometriosis He performed several laparoscopies to clean up and fix what 3 other doctors missed and placed me on hormone therapy. Skip forward to 2010 when no doctors would take my issues of bleeding, distended belly, weight gain--blaming it all on age (I am 40) and ignoring what the ultrasounds showed. I was in misery, bleeding daily--although on continuous-cycle birth control--had pain, pressure and discomfort in my abdomen, just felt rotten. I went back to Dr. Miller who remembered me after 10 years--as did his staff who scheduled my diagnostics and consultation immediately. When Dr. Miller heard my symptoms and looked at my ultrasound, he was certain of his diagnosis (adenomyosis) and we agreed on hysterectomy as the best solution instead of more hormones. He immediately did further diagnostics to ensure his findings were correct. The staff was great about working with my insurance for surgery (both endo and hysterectomy) and his whole team was there for my hysterectomy (done laparascopically), spending ample time with me prior to surgery talking to me about concerns and working around my allergies and other conditions. All went well and he also found giant fibroid tumors in the wall of my uterus, ensuring that hysterectomy was inevitable and necessary. He is very busy so may spend less time than you expect, but trust me, he knows what he is doing. At his Arlington location, I've had to wait a while but he's an excellent surgeon and really very nice. Trust him. If he is very busy and you have additional questions, he will give you access to his staff to answer your questions who are all very nice. The only con about him is that you might feel rushed because he is busy, but he's busy because he's the best. I'd recommend him to family, friends and anyone in need of a doctor for major female problems. He's not a gynecologist, he's a specialist so, not a regular gyne.I recovered quickly from my surgery, he is very skilled."

string(1279) "Dr.Miller is amongst the top Doctors in Illinois which is why I chose him to go through with the choice of trying to have a child. While he is extremely knowledgeable, he can also be very blunt and it can come off rude to those who can't take a little criticism. His staff is excellent though. They were there every step of the way. Dr.Miller always had a very cheery demeanor about him and had the utmost confidence I would conceive. Unfortunately, I didn't but, I do plan on going back again as I have a lot of faith in him and his background. The only negative things I can say is the wait time. Something needs to be done about that. The other thing would be to inform patients on what to expect during any type of treatment. As a first timer, I was kinda left in the dark. My husband and I were taught how to administer the shots and such but, the side effects and the latter were not discussed. We could have brought our concerns up however, we were too involved in wanting to have a family to even think about it. The only other thing would be the voicemail system they have set up. It seems very impersonal. Especially if you're telling someone they didn't get pregnant. BUT, hopefully this next time around we will conceive and we will have a great experience with him. "
